The Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic, Kent is led by a Consultant Dermatologist and Laser Specialist. It is a private clinic which provides comprehensive dermatological advice, investigations and treatments for all skin and cosmetic issues.

Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission, which requires us to continually audit and improve all aspects of our service. As part of the monitoring process, we are subject to both scheduled and unscheduled inspections by Government regulators.

Dr. Mark Hudson-Peacock is our Consultant Dermatologist and Medical Director. He currently holds a position in the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust as Consultant Dermatologist, a post he has held since January 1996. He is a general dermatologist and a specialist in skin and laser surgery.

He also oversees the smooth running of the phototherapy unit and is a member of the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee.

Dr Hudson-Peacock graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine (UWCM) in 1987, having gained a degree in biochemistry in 1984. He was awarded the first Geoffrey Hodgson dermatology prize to be awarded by the UWCM, and this inspired him to follow dermatology as his career choice. He gained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in March 1990, and was awarded his fellowship from the same college (FRCP) in 2000. He gained further training in dermatological and laser surgery in Europe and North America, and specific training in the art of sclerotherapy in Toronto.

He regularly lectures on a variety of dermatological subjects, and has presented work both nationally and internationally.

Dr Hudson-Peacock established his private dermatological and laser practice at The Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury in 1996. He then expanded into the Spencer Wing based in the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate.

With the practice continuing to grow as demand for skin and cosmetic treatments increased, he acquired a newly refurbished building in Castle Street in Canterbury, which continues to offer a comfortable environment in which to provide modern and comprehensive skin care, unique to this part of Kent .

This now well established clinic, continues to be the only specialist Dermatology and Laser clinic in East Kent.

Dr Alice Hudson-Peacock is a qualified GP, but currently works in the field of dermatology only. She holds the position of Specialty Doctor in Dermatology to the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and is the Managing Director of the Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic.

She has many years experience in providing laser and cosmetic wrinkle treatments. She was first trained in the use of Botox® and Dermal Fillers such as Zyderm and Zyplast back in 1994, when these collagen fillers were the only available brands.

Since then she has been offering the hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm Ultra and has treated thousands of very satisfied clients over this time.

She is also very experienced in the use of Botox® for wrinkle relaxation procedures and regularly attends updates and conferences both in the U.K. and abroad; most recently, she was invited to the World Congress in Anti-ageing Medicine in Monaco.

Dr. Alice has been providing laser treatments for skin conditions since 1997. She was a founder and Managing Director of Chaucer Laser Services, which was set up in the local private Chaucer hospital in March 1997. Due to significant expansion in the number of lasers used for various skin indications, the service was moved to new premises in Castle Street in 2004, when the name of the service was changed to The Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic.

Her ethos is to provide an honest medical opinion and to achieve the most pleasing outcomes in a cost effective way. By combining her experiences in Clinical Dermatology and her vast experience of all types of cosmetic treatments, she is an expert in skin assessments and is able to give and provide a complete aesthetic solution for her clients needs.

She has particular expertise in non-surgical rejuvenation of the face, hands and the décolletage.

Dr Mark and Dr Alice have been married since March 1987. They met during their medical school training in the University of Wales College of Medicine. They have one son, who has just started medical school in Christ's College, Cambridge. They enjoy all genres of music, especially classical music, travelling to all the exciting places in the world, theatre going and are enthusiastic foodies.

Dr. Sandra Vykutilova MD

Dr. Sandra was born in the Czech Republic . She qualified as a doctor in general medicine in 2004, and has been a dermatologist since then. She took a keen

interest in aesthetic dermatology early during her studies at University while she was working as an assistant in her mother's private aesthetic clinic. She was

trained in the application of dermal fillers, Botox, chemical peels, mesotherapy and lipolysis during the years 2004-2007. Since that time she has participated in

a lot of aesthetic sessions, congresses and courses. At the moment she also works as a Speciality Doctor in Dermatology at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital.

Besides her work, she does a lot of sports and loves travelling. She has been involved in aesthetic treatments and assessments for a long time, and aims to

provide a bespoke treatment plan for every client to ensure that they achieve a result they desire. By using an individual approach, with detailed explanation of

the treatment and by really understanding her client’s expectations, these form the key points in her approach to achieving the best aesthetic result for her

client.

Miss Anita Hazari MBBS MD FRCS FRCS(Plast).

Miss Anita Hazari, Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Kent and Sussex. Anita Hazari is on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and is a full member of

the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS). She is a Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at the Queen

Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead and holds an Honorary Consultant post at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford and Kent & Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury.

Miss Hazari consults private patients and performs cosmetic surgery at the Spire Tunbridge Wells Hospital; McIndoe Surgical Centre in East Grinstead, and the

Chaucer Hospital, Canterbury. She also consults here at the Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic every month. We would be pleased to book an appointment for

you here at the clinic.

Aestheticians

Vicky

Vicky is one of the beauty therapists/aestheticians at the Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic. She trained at Thanet College, Broadstairs, gaining a Beauty Therapy & Management NVQ level 2&3 diploma in 2005 and was awarded student of the year award. She has since gained additional qualifications in Laser depilation, Microdermabrasion, Non- surgical face lift treatments, gel nails, cellulite slimming treatments, Hopi ear candles and others.

In 2009, She worked for Steiner on the Azamara Quest cruise liner for 1 year, travelling to many exotic places. She performed Ionithermie and Elemis treatments in the spa.

In her spare time she enjoys keeping fit, socialising with her friends, reading and looking after her young niece and nephews. She looks forward to challenges and setting goals to succeed. She also enjoys meeting new people and will always do her best to make each person feel good and happy with their visits to the clinic. Gemma

Gemma is a a qualified aesthetician/beauty therapist and has been for over eight years. She has been working with the Canterbury skin and laser clinic for the past five years. It is a role she loves, and she considers herself to be a proud member of the team.

She originally trained at Canterbury College, gaining a BTEC National Diploma in Beauty Therapy and Applied Science, and since then has gained further qualifications in the following practices;

Laser hair removal, Nicolite (a laser treatment to promote smoking cessation), Microdermabrasion,Chemical skin peeling, Teeth whitening, Skin Ceuticals.

She occasionally assists Dr Mark Hudson-Peacock in minor operations, which she greatly enjoys and is beneficial to her professional development. She has recently returned to work after a four month maternity leave, and has a son named Harrison who was born in November 2010. Outside of work, Gemma enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and trying out foreign cuisine! She looks forward to welcoming you to the Beauty Room soon.
