Ms. Rosa Santa Cruz MD, PhD is a General Surgeon. She received her Medical Doctor degree in 2008 in Cagliari, Italy, and has trained in General Surgery at the University of Cagliari and from 2013-2015 at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London and also at Watford General Hospital, London, as a part of her surgical training.

Her MD thesis was awarded for original research in computerised morphometry of breast cancer, and she has published several papers regarding thyroid conditions, pulmonary fibrosis and predictions of post-operative outcomes.

Ms. Santa Cruz also holds a PhD in Natural Sciences and a doctorate in Forensic Sciences.

Her specialist areas of interest include cosmetic techniques for facial rejuvenation, weight-loss treatments and new technologies in general surgery, especially minimally or non-invasive techniques to treat non-malignant diseases.


She has been providing injectable treatments such as Dermal Fillers and Botulinum Toxin for facial rejuvenation since 2010. She has attended many master classes since then, including advanced techniques using cannulas, 8 point facelift technique, Toxins for the lower face and neck etc with MATA and Cosmetic Courses at Harley Street.

In addition to injectables, Dr. Rosa is also very skilled and experienced in the use of Chemical Peels, and Medical Skin Needling procedures to compliment the injectable treatments in the rejuvenation of the face, neck, décolletage and hands. These are particularly useful in improving conditions such as sun damage, uneven pigmentation, dull skin texture, superficial acne scarring.

Dr. Rosa’s other area of interest is in weight-loss assessments and treatment in a programme involving a team of surgeons, psychotherapists and nutritionists. This is a motivational programme which includes the use of gastric balloon, motivational protocol and nutritional plan to help you reach your ideal weight with long lasting results.
