Academic Background

Dr Duarte Williamson was born and brought up in Bogota, Colombia where she went to medical school.  She graduated from medical school in her home country of Colombia in South America in 1987; she worked as a Hospital Doctor in General Medicine, Paediatrics and Accident and Emergency for 8 years before entering the Dermatology training programme. She trained as a specialist in Dermatology in Bogota – Colombia from 1996 and worked as a Dermatology consultant for 4 and a half years before moving to the UK. Dr Duarte Williamson has worked in the UK since 2005.  Her specialist interest areas are in Paediatric Dermatology, Medical dermatology and skin cancer.

She is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, British Society of Paediatric Dermatology, British Association of Medical Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology and the Royal Society of Medicine.   Dr Duarte Williamson is fluent in English and Spanish.”
